Ginger Clownfish

Ginger's features include vibrant shades of orange and white scales, with tinges of burgundy at the edges. She has a plump and chubby tail. Her left eye is blind, due to a past incident, but still as expressive as her right. Her ear fins are wide and floppy, tinged with burgundy at the edges.
Ginger is the type of friend who would never leave your side when you need emotional support. Besides being gentle and caring, she tries to bring up your mood by being cheerful and energetic. She always sees the positive side of things. She is skilled in good influence, which helps her support and console many of her friends- especially Agnar, who she is extremely close to. If any of her friends had a secret, Ginger would be the first one to hear it!
Ginger's left eye got damaged due to a past incident, where she stood up to protect Agnar from getting stabbed by a Sailor- only to end up getting stabbed in her own eye. The trauma causes her damaged eye to bleed whenever she sheds tears. But the incident helped Ginger to be more cautious and protective to others.
Ginger is sensitive to bright spotlights, since this is a natural instinct of clownfish. However, she likes hanging around sea anemones (another Clownfish instinct) and is immune to its sting.
She loves hugs, and is ready to give you one whether you're happy or depressed! Her favourite food includes cookies and lasagna.
Ginger is also skilled at painting. She rarely paints, but once she does, she ends up making masterpieces. However, she'd rather do it for her own satisfaction and never glorifies her talent. She is also good at swift and fast stunts in the water.
One of her favourite pass-time is hanging out with Azure- the two of them are like creative besties!
Ginger could sometimes be confusing, random and unpredictable when there are too many thoughts in her head- and she could get a bit clingy when depressed.
In the university class, Ginger is like that one friend who you can come and sit by, and is ready to listen to any problems or thoughts you have.
Azure Betta Fish

Azure has a striking appearance, due to her deep blue, purple and red well- maintained scales. These vibrant hues catch the eyes of many others, making her a popular and attractive Piscemalian. Her tail and fins are silky, flowy, and smooth to touch. Her unmatched eye colours also signifies a unique feature from birth. She has a beauty mark under her left eye. Azure always wears her favourite pearl necklace. Azure also has a unique ability to glow in UV light (especially her purple and red hues) which makes her appearance intimidating.
Besides her elegance, Azure is generous and calm, good at taking the right decisions by being patient and thinking through stuff properly. She is always careful at her actions. Azure likes giving advice, and is not only cautious about her own hygiene- but also for others'. Her precise and perfect sense of style allows her to choose fitting costumes for various occasions. She's the perfectionist of the friend group. But sometimes, her attempts to make things go absolutely perfect can make her over react for small things.
Azure is already very popular in the university! Many other Anthros have their eyes on her- but Azure likes being independent, rejecting every proposal (oof..) and she cherishes the fact that she can make her own firm choices. She's mostly seen with Ginger around the university, her closest friend. She likes doing various fun and new activities with Ginger, like knitting, making bracelets, and so on. Ginger, and Azure's other close friends, lovingly call her 'Az'. She likes spending time at the spa, or at the front of her mirror- fixing her appearance even if she sees a single stray scale. Unlike other Piscemalians, Azure preens her scales thrice a day. She believes in a healthy diet, especially salad, which makes her annoyed seeing bubbles' complicated food choices-
Azure is the first anthro-fish the others would go to, if they need advice on any creative stuff or outfit ideas.
Azure is good at graceful moves in water, her swimming can hypnotize you-
She is also one of the best at pearl-collecting, since it's one of her favourite pass-time (plus, she's absolutely obsessed with pearls and shells!). Azure has a unique attraction to suits- she believes that anyone wearing a suit would look 100× better!
Azure finds Neon's pranks extremely annoying; she always ends up as his prime subject. However, she's quick to forgive him ONLY if he genuinely apologises. She had knitted the blue scarf that Silver wears, and gifted it to him along with Ginger.
Azure has an elder brother, Lucien. He was initially friendly with his sister, but grew to be distant, arrogant and haughty. He dislikes the fact that Azure lives with other 'normal' Piscemalia species, since he believed that Betta Fish are superior and alienated from other anthros. Azure is always in a dilemma between her friends and her brother.
Orla Goldfish

Purely enigmatic.
Orla is an energetic and... sometimes clumsy Piscemalian. She has shiny scales of various shades of gold, which glitter when they catch the light. Her tail is powerful and swift (be careful, she's good at effective tail-slaps). She always wears the iconic box which covers her face, and she never reveals her face to anyone. The reason is still unknown. She has frilly floppy ear fins.
Orla is mute, she cannot talk. Hence she communicates through hand signs (usually ASL) or body language. It's not too difficult to understand her, since she's skilled at portraying her thoughts merely through actions. Orla has an enigmatic and unpredictable personality. She likes to be clumsy and funny on purpose, making others laugh. She likes to spread cheer, and is always the one to take initiative in dares or other challenging situations. Orla likes sleeping as well (she's the best at sleeping in class, since no one can see whether she's awake or asleep). But once she's awake, her energy is on maximum-mode!
However, Orla is pretty sensitive when it comes to someone asking her to remove her box, or teasing her about it.
Orla could be pretty forgetful sometimes, and is one of the only anthros who could annoy Neon!
Orla has modified her box to meet her requirements- even though it looks simple, it has a few features. The eyes drawn on the box actually have a light-brown mesh like material which allows her to see, along with hiding her own eyes from others. Plus, her box has a protective waterproof covering to avoid getting it soaked and damaged in water. Orla does remove her box, but only in private. Hence, she always eats or drinks only when she's alone in her room.
She's just the best at being silly and unpredictable, but it's difficult to actually see her true emotions behind the box. So to portray her feelings, she sticks notes or drawings on her box face to match how she feels.
Orla absolutely loves pancakes, especially the ones made by Alex (He's a good cook!). She likes headpats, as they make her feel comforted.
Sometimes, Orla might be too much of an attention seeker as well, not letting you go and do your business until she gets at least ONE headpat-
Orla is the youngest of the group. (Excluding Jello)
Bubbles Dolphin

Bubbles has smooth light purple-lavender dolphin skin (Dolphins don't have scales). She has attachable shell accessories on her legs and tail. Her eyes are big and expressive, with a natural white heart pupil on her iris. She doesn't have tail-side-fins. Even though a Dolphin is a mammal, An anthro-dolphin is still classified as 'Piscemalia'.
Bubbles is bubbly and energetic, and radiates a joyful vibe just by being silly. She's agile and smart. She's a huge foodie, and loves stuffing her mouth with edibles anytime. She chews on gum whenever she's nervous. Her favourite goodies are candies. She likes being around her friends and getting involved in their business (she's pretty curious, and a fast learner). Bubbles often teases Agnar about fried chicken, but makes sure he gets it in the end-
Bubbles hangs around a lot in Alex's laboratory while he is working. She does sometimes interfere, or ask too many questions, but is good at cheering Alex up and keeping him company. Bubbles also tries convincing Alex to take good rest, since he overworks himself too much. If bubbles ends up being too nosy, Alex casually bribes her out of the laboratory with marshmallows!
Yes, Bubbles loves Alex. But she's too nervous to openly confess to him, even though she tries giving small hints. But considering how focused Alex already is on his work, he never notices or understands Bubbles' hints.
Due to a few past incidents where Bubbles unknowingly swam in polluted water, her health has been affected. She gets sudden weakness and high fevers at random times- not too often though. That's why Alex is so focused on developing a medicine for her, and to purify polluted water. Despite her occasional illness, Bubbles stays as cheerful as ever when she's healthy and normal. She is also sensitive to loud noises or sounds underwater; she can hear ultrasounds.
Bubbles is incredibly good at swimming in deep or shallow water, and she can leap up to great heights while riding the waves.
Bubbles does eat occasionally in class as well.(She's good at hiding it). She sometimes comes late to class after the lunch breaks between lectures, since She's "busy in the cafeteria restoring her energy"..
But despite eating all that, she's also skilled at burning the calories since she's extremely hyperactive and energetic.
Agnar Shark

Agnar looks slightly ferocious and intimidating, but compassionate and calm on the inside. He has his body covered with deep blue placoid scales, and pointed nimble fins. His teeth are sharp, and his fingers have retractable sharp nails. He has a unique pattern of dark stripes at places on his body. The chains around his neck and waist are a painful reminder of his past trauma. The chains have fused and tangled with his scales in complicated ways, which makes it impossible to remove them without harming his skin. He's had a deep wound near his left cheek, which has left a permanent scar. He usually covers it with a band-aid as to look a bit less scary, for the sake of fitting in- but the other scars on his legs still prevail. Agnar had got those scars during his struggle while he was tied up with chains by the Sailor.
Agnar is mostly silent, serious, and alert. Being bold and experienced, he makes sure that his friends are safe from danger. He stands up to defend them. He's always on high alert, and the first to sense danger. Agnar is physically strong (he has abdominal muscles, which are only visible when his scales are wet!) and pretty powerful. Even though he's calm, few situations could cause him to get aggressive. It's pretty difficult to get him back to normal when he's furious(He growls too-) He could also get overprotective (especially for ginger) He is also very loyal and honest.
Agnar is extremely close to Ginger. He loves her a lot; Ginger is always successful in keeping Agnar feeling relaxed and comforted. Ginger had saved Agnar from being stabbed, and ended up getting her own eye damaged. Agnar still blames himself for the harm caused to Ginger, since he believed he had pulled Ginger into the mess.
Alex had tried to make a chemical to dissolve the metal chains on Agnar's body, but was unsuccessful.
The reason Agnar was captured by the Sailor, was because he had an important rare compound in his heart. The Sailor was hired by ??? to find and capture Agnar. However, Agnar has managed to escape all the past attempts. When he was first caught, he was held tied up with chains for about 3 days, before he managed to escape by weakening the chains with his jaws. (Ginger had saved him the second time he was caught). Despite his strength, he still fears ships and swims away if he sees one around.
Agnar is sensitive to loud sounds underwater. The scent of cloves seems to repel him. He can also smell blood from 500 meters away (Natural Shark Instincts).
Even though sharks are carnivores, Anthro-sharks can still eat veggies and stuff. However, to fulfill his desires of meat, Agnar loves fried chicken a lot (his friends sometimes playfully take advantage of this to bribe him!). Agnar often hangs out with Neon, playing video games or sports with him, or just having a chill swim in the sea. Neon is slightly jealous about Agnar's looks though-
Agnar likes Mojitos, they help him cool down. He also chills at the movies with his friends. He's really skilled at surfing, and since Jello likes the fresh air, he takes her for surfing rides on his tail!
Silver Salmon

Male
Silver is a gentle-looking slender Salmon piscemalian. He has smooth and neat silver scales and fins, with a few grey speckles on his body. He has large expressive eyes, and a soft calming voice. Silver usually wears a blue scarf (except when in water.)
Silver is shy and gentle. He isn't very good at beginning conversations with strangers, because of his introverted nature. He could also be pretty sensitive and timid. However, he feels more at ease and free whenever he's around friends.
But his gentle and soft-spoken personality lures in bullies to take advantage of him. In the university, his two bullies (Blade and Vincent) are in the same class as Silver, and keep teasing or embarrassing him in front of everyone. The scarf Silver wears is a major source of comfort for him, since it was knitted by Azure and gifted to him by Ginger. Deep down, Silver feels insecure and criticizes himself for not being able to defend himself or others. He's the quiet one of the group. But recently, he's been trying to stand up for himself against bullies.
Despite his introverted personality, Silver has a warm effect on anthros around him. His soft voice and gentleness is soothing and peaceful, making him a great friend to hang out with while winding down.
Silver's dream is to become a great musician/violinist, but his stage fright and social anxieties hold him back. Hence, he usually practices while alone in his room, or at the shore at night. He is really skilled at playing the violin, but gets nervous when playing it in front of someone.
During intervals between lectures in the university, Silver often takes care of the babies/toddlers of the teaching staff, while they're busy in class.
He's also a pro at Chess, and none of his friends have managed to beat this humble guy- yet!
Silver also relaxes while watching the sunset, or being alone in a field of flowers. He spends free time reading, or entertaining Jello.
Jello, the little dumbo octopus, shows a close bond with Silver. Jello is one of the few creatures that Silver shares his secrets with (even though Jello wouldn't understand) and Jello is mostly seen around Silver.
Silver fears heights and the dark. He's cautious about violence, and steps back whenever someone starts being aggressive. He also has a quirky fear of frying pans- probably because someone teased him as a 'fried salmon'.
Silver has a Sister one year younger than him- Sylvia. Silver calls her 'Via'. Via doesn't live with Silver and the rest, since she's training to be a ninja at a separate location. But she does come and give Silver literal surprise visits.
Silver actually dances very well- but no one except his Sister knows about this. His moves are smooth and free, but he rarely dances- even if he did, it would only be in private.
Neon Tetra

Male
Neon has a grey base colour scale, and attractive neon red and blue stripes on his body. Like Azure, he can glow in dark if illuminated slightly by UV rays. Neon wears fingerless gloves (he thinks they make him look cool). His left pupil is a spiral, a unique feature he has had from birth. The spiral pupil allows him to see even UV rays- something that's invisible to humans. He has a slender, flexible body.
Neon is an easygoing, mischievous and reckless piscemalian. This prankster loves teasing others and making jokes. He's great at cheering up everyone if they're in a melancholy or depressed mood, with his ways of seeing the positive side of situations. He has a charismatic personality to most of the others, but could sometimes turn out to be annoying as well-
However, Neon could come in very helpful when he could. He's fun company to have around; he usually hangs out with Agnar, his best buddy.
Neon is Bisexual. He is a bit bad at making a first impression- but you'd grow to love his company after a while. He could get kinda flirty, even though his flirting techniques are- quite unexpected. He gets a bit jealous of Agnar's good looks; another reason why Neon stays around Agnar is because he seems to attract a lot of girls!
Neon's most frequent prank victims are Azure and Silver, since it's easy to catch them off guard. It's difficult to say whether Azure and Neon are friends or enemies- since they are mostly seen arguing, but still helpful to each other. You could call them frienemies! However, Neon finds it difficult to prank Orla- everytime he tries playing a joke on her, he ends up getting pranked back, or just receives a painful tailslap on his face.
Neon is fond of rock music, and keeps a huge collection in his room. He also likes playing video games in his free time, but could sometimes obsess over them and start playing them randomly at 3 am. But he balances out his screen time by playing outdoor sports like football and basketball, usually in the university campus. He always keeps a stash of coca-cola in the fridge.
Neon is the class-clown, an expert at making everyone burst into laughter mid-lecture by asking hilarious questions (sometimes even without intending to!) Hence, he gets sent out of the class by the teacher most of the times. Neon just uses this time to roam around the campus, ending up getting caught again. (Typical..)
Neon is also trying to learn the electric guitar, often disturbing Silver's violin practice.
Alex Axolotl

Male
Alex has smooth, sensitive warm-white skin (no scales), and large red gills near his ears (no gills on his neck, unlike the others). He has a long, slender tail, which is actually useful to him in many aspects. He's pretty fond of his tail. Alex is mostly seen wearing a lab coat. He'd rather wear it most of the times rather than putting it on and off again if he needs to go to his laboratory. While swimming, he doesn't wear it. However, he wears a normal blazer if he's going out somewhere. He wears his signature red tie too. Alex wears glasses, but loses them quite often- making the others find it for him since he can't see clearly at all.
Recently though, he seems to growing dark bags under his eyes due to sleep deprivation.
Alex is a calm and collected piscemalian. He's obsessed over science and math; hence spends most of his time in his laboratory. He was a child prodigy- and started learning complex concepts from quite a young age, showing signs of a genius. This enabled him to completely various degrees very early, and become a professor at the fresh age of 20 (yes, it's possible but extremely rare!) So, in the university, Alex does not really attend science or math lectures, but rather teaches the subjects to the juniors himself. However, he still gets forced to sit for other lectures like History(he absolutely hates that!).
Alex is a workaholic. He's always lost in thought, absent minded, and focused on formulas and experiments. He's obsessed with research and scientific discoveries. His current research includes finding a chemical that can treat polluted oceans (his main priority), but has recently started to give more attention to finding a cure to Bubbles's illness(see her description above for details.) But since he's nervous and anxious about whether he's doing everything right, he tends to overwork himself too much, causing sleep deprivation and exhaustion- even fainting. Since he's too desperate to help Bubbles and is very concerned, he never gives up on his experiments.
Alex likes having someone around while working, since he can yap about his experiments and stuff to them. He's enthusiastic and eager when it comes to showing someone around his laboratory, and revealing his research. Bubbles visits him in the lab the most- since she really likes him (yes, a lil crush..) and Alex is glad to have someone cheerful and curious like her around. However, since he is too tied up in his own work, he fails to get the subtle hints of Bubbles's attraction towards him. Bubbles could get a bit too curious and fiddle with interesting-looking equipment, so Alex bribes her out with marshmallows if she gets too nosy. Usually, he is the one to help his friends when it comes to studying and gaining good scores.
Alex is also very good at cooking, and the others in the friend group look forward to his awesome dishes. It's probably because he always measures the ingredients very precisely. That's another aspect of him that attracts Bubbles!
Alex, when he's alone, also hums a tune or sings while immersed in work. He's nervous to sing in front of anyone, although his voice is melodious and soothing. He likes drinking coffee, and often makes it to drink in his lab. He sleeps late and wakes up early.
Many of his experiments lead to small explosions (not too destructive, thankfully-). But his biggest accidental explosion was when he was trying an underwater experiment with sulfur, unintentionally blowing up 72 corals.
Alex does sometimes try to bunk the history lectures for seniors as well in university, just to escape to the campus laboratory!
Jello
Dumbo Octopus

Female
Jello is the group pet- or rather, more like a friend. She's chubby and adorable, with smooth blue moist skin and little tentacles. She communicates through squeaks. Alex had done a few safe procedures on Jello to enable her to breathe out of water, also increasing her lifespan. Hence, Jello can freely play and roam on land (though she also needs to stay moist, and needs regular swimming sessions.) Jello has two little floppy ears, and can camouflage too (she's good at hide and seek!) When on land, her locomotion includes little bounces, or just sliding along the floor and walls with little suction cups on her tentacles. Being an octopus, Jello has 3 hearts. But unlike other octopi, she doesn't have the ability to ink for defense.
Jello was found by Bubbles, floating alone and frightened in a secluded part of the ocean- separated from her natural environment and home. When Bubbles found her curled up and alone, Jello clung to Bubbles and wouldn't let her go. Agnar, swimming nearby, suggested that they take Jello home and try to help her. But Jello became so familiar and happy with the Piscemalia, that she considered them as family. Jello is most comfortable around Silver, and senses a deep friendly connection with him.
